Well tonight was something else. Something I really needed.
Melissa came down from DBU to hang out with me (well mainly because of High School Musical 2) what a blessing it was. We had lunch, talked a lot bit, had dinner, talked some more, watch HSM2, and then had a great time just praying, reading, and worshiping together for a couple of hours.
But I was taken back. I began to cry before we started praying. Not becausing I'm leaving. Not because I'm going to miss her ( which I will but we'll work around that ).... but because I felt weak, helpless, and broken. All I could do is cry. I know that God is totally going to break me. I'm scared....honestly because I know He will. Melissa and I both know it. That's why I'm weak.
Sweetly Broken
To the cross I look, to the cross I cling
Of its suffering I do drink
Of its work I do sing
For on it my Savior both bruised and crushed
Showed that God is love
And God is just
At the cross You beckon me
You draw me gently to my knees, and I am
Lost for words, so lost in love,
I’m sweetly broken, wholly surrendered
What a priceless gift, undeserved life
Have I been given
Through Christ crucified
You’ve called me out of death
You’ve called me into life
And I was under Your wrath
Now through the cross I’m reconciled
In awe of the cross I must confess
How wondrous Your redeeming love and
How great is Your faithfulness
I ask, just pray for Melissa and I as we go off. That's it for tonight......
Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

YOU guys make ME cry!! I cannot tell you how blown away I am to know that two people your age would spend two hours in prayer and worship together!
What a blessing early in your life -- to know the value of time spent well together, and with the Lord!
"God, I just meet you this morning, the very morning that Michael is leaving for his call to obedience. I pray that You will bless him, equip him, and give him the peace that will enable him to be Your instrument in all circumstances. I ask for comfort and assurance for his parents and family. Protection for his everyday, both physically and spiritually. I know that I can speak for many in our church, and community to say that we unite in Your name, God, to request an extra special touch of Your very hand upon his life. In the name of Jesus Christ, Your son, Amen."
We love you Michael! Please stay in touch, okay?

WOW doesn't even begin to cover it. My friend and I just looked over you blog - and I'm telling you EVERYTHING you're saying we've been talking about recently! I love the Holy Spirit and how He works like that!!
What's quite freakish is that I'm currently reading "Rev. In World Missions" before a close friend of mine leaves for Nepal to work as a researcher at a missions agency -And you're doing something with GFA! I hope to see more of what God is doing in you - because He seems to be doing the same thing in all of us over here in south Louisiana.
May God bless you as you continue to pursue with all your heart!
First of all, like my friend Bekah, I normally don't comment on other peoples blog that I don't know but everything I've read here is literally freaking me out. For me it's easy to get into the mindset of thinking that God is only doing these things in me and the people I'm around. People who I can see and talk to. It's almost like I forget that there ARE other people out there in the world that are hearing the same thing from Him. It is such an encouragement to see other people with the same desire for Holiness. There is only one Holy Spirit and it has been made evident here. To see this and hear this brings such a joy to my heart. God is working and He is challenging His Body to the fullest. Carnality cannot be found in us. Holiness is not an option but a command. Obedience at all cost. He wants a people who are willing to do anything to walk in Him, a people who will give up anything to be like Him. “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep, to gain what he cannot loose.” ~Jim Elliot. I don't know really where I'm going with this but I just wanted to tell you how encouraged I am, it builds up my faith when I hear of my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ going through and being challenged with the same things as I and my friends and family. He is faithful.
“For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height-- to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Eph 3:14-21
Even though I don't know you, I agree in prayer with you and your friends and family because in all reality we are all in the the same family, in Christ. So, I don't know what else to say...Praise Him! We are simply vessels to be broken, shattered, molded, and poured out for Him. Out of your obedience there will be much fruit, fruit unto righteousness...
Once again, you don't know me either, I am Jordan (a girl Jordan),sister to Bekah, and friend to Lauren. It is so very encouraging to know that there are other people out there who are passionately seeking to be more like Chrisr every day, to know Him, and for Him to know you. It is so easy to feel like no one else really gets it, but then the Holy Spirit opens my eyes just a little bit more, and I fond that there are other people, especially in America, who really do know what it is to be a follower of The Way. Just wow!THe real shocker how small the world is and getting smaller every day. It appears that you know our friend, Elisabeth. Really WOW!
1 Timothy 4:11-13
"Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity."
2 Corinthians 12:8-10
"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."
I am praying for you as I know that God has placed you where you are weak so that He may be exalted.
Your greatest strength is your fear of, and your surrender to God. Know that we are interceding on your behalf and are so excited about what the Lord is doing in and through you.
